olio castellano

Typographic minimalism is what’s achieved with olio castellano’s packaging by BCV associati. The identify, printed on a slender strip of paper, is aerated, giving ample area for every letter to breathe. The general design creates an fascinating stability between the formality of the gridded format in junction with its mild spirit character that may be seen by means of its uncanny resemblance to cross-phrase puzzles.

“The expressive synthesis comes from Trajan, a font as previous as this place, and Trajan’s Column from which artist Carol Twombly drew inspiration for her design. Just one color, black, and paper that’s barely tough to the contact, simulating the floor of stone. The textual content was composed within the Roman lapidary fashion (every phrase separated by some extent).”
