Google introduced upcoming help for podcasts on Google Play Music, giving podcasters entry to a brand new viewers on Android telephones and tablets.
Whereas no launch date was introduced for when listeners can start to entry podcasts by way of Google Play Music, a portal is out there for podcasters to add their exhibits to Google Play Music forward of the launch.
In a blog post, Elias Roman, product supervisor for Google Play Music, commented:
Together with direct searches and searching for podcasts, the service will join new listeners with podcasts based mostly on what they’re doing, how they’re feeling or what they’re keen on. Just like our contextual playlists for music, this can give podcast followers and new listeners a approach of discovering and listening to content material that is distinctive to Google Play Music.
Roman stated Google is already working with “multiple-dozen of the preferred podcasters and networks” to offer content material to customers when the service launches. These embrace HBO, HowStuffWorks, Nerdist/Legendary, This Week in Tech and 5by5, amongst others.
