Reflecting on the modern circumstances rising between the digital and the bodily realms, the collaboration of Winderen and Fornes collapses sound, mild and type in an object with intrinsic sensorial behaviors, inviting guests to query the properties of matter and the constructed setting surrounding us.
The set up is a vibrating sound experiment that goals to rework the structure into animated smart type. Conceived as a sound object that absorbs and contrasts the location specificity of the Storefront Gallery with summary, spatial, formal and acoustic variations and compositions, State of affairs NY raises questions on context, sensorial readings, estrangement and the uncanny tangentially resonating with modern debates across the ontology of objects.
