The Montblanc star

Montblanc logo

The Montblanc star emblem was launched in 1913, and since then, all writing devices produced by the ‘Simplo Filler Pen Co.’ [as the makers were then known] would come with the distinctive mark.

“The form represents the snow-coated peak of Mont Blanc — the very best European mountain, symbolising the model’s dedication to the very best high quality and best European craftsmanship.”

Quoted from Montblanc’s 100+ year history.

A couple of years in the past, the Montblanc emblem was chosen by Artistic Assessment within the top 20 logos of all time. I keep in mind disagreeing, principally as a result of the journal confirmed the lockup, which is imbalanced in line weight and format.

However the image placement on Montblanc pens made me smile.
