Yummi is the candle brand of Canadian based candle manufacturer and online retailer Neo-Image Candlelight Ltd. Designer Nicole Nyholt was brought on to re-design the family-run business in order to speak to the high quality features and colours offered for each candle style. In order to showcase each of the 44 color offerings, each package was strategically designed and positioned to resemble a color swatch which consumers easily identify and associate with colour selection and sampling.
“The Mississauga based second generation family business has been manufacturing high quality candles since 1976. The 25 piece packaging line was recently redesigned to speak to the high quality features and colours offered for each candle style. A symbol system was created to communicate product information and features such as burn time, quantity, origin and safety instructions that could be universally understood and simplify copy on the packages. One of biggest challenge for this project was to create a design that would showcase over 44 colour offerings. To address this issue a window was strategically designed and positioned to resemble a colour swatch which consumers easily identify and associate with colour selection and sampling.”
