1923 – Upon observing his spouse making use of wads of cotton to toothpicks, Leo Gerstenzang, the unique founding father of the Q-ideas® Firm, conceived the thought of producing a prepared-to-use cotton swab. He based the Leo Gerstenzang Toddler Novelty Co., a agency which marketed child care equipment.


1926 - The product was initially referred to as Child Gays and in 1926, the labels have been modified to learn Q-ideas® Child Gays. Later, the identify Child Gays was discarded and Q-ideas® turned the figuring out mark for cotton swabs. The “Q” in Q-ideas® stands for high quality and the phrase “ideas” describes the cotton swab on the finish of the stick.
