PHOTOS: Fb Begins Shifting Into New West Campus Constructing


Monday was transfer-in day for Fb, as a few of the social community’s staff started migrating to the brand new West Campus facility in Menlo Park, Calif., designed by famend architect Frank Gehry.


Fb co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the overhead shot above in a Facebook post, writing:


At this time we moved into our new Fb constructing in Menlo Park, Calif.


Our objective was to create the right engineering area for our groups to work collectively. We needed our area to create the identical sense of group and connection amongst our groups that we attempt to allow with our providers the world over.


To do that, we designed the most important open flooring plan on the planet — a single room that matches hundreds of individuals. There are many small areas the place individuals can work collectively, and it is easy for individuals to maneuver round and collaborate with anybody right here. On the roof is a 9-acre park with strolling trails and lots of outside areas to take a seat and work.
